James Carol books in order

James Carol is a British bestselling author of thriller novels.

Born in Scotland in 1969, James moved to England in the eighties; a place he has called home since.

He has throughout his lifetime worked as a guitarist, sound engineer, guitar tutor, journalist, and a horse riding instructor.

Broken Dolls (2014), the first installment of the Jefferson Winter thriller series, has sold a third of a million copies, on top of being translated into twelve languages.

The series, which revolves around the life of Jefferson Winter, thus far has three books and three novellas.

James has also authored three standalone thrillers, namely The Killing Game (2016), Kiss Me, Kill Me (2018), and 17 Church Row (2019); with the first getting shortlisted for a CWA Ian Fleming Dagger award.

He has also published some books under the pen name J.S. Carol.

Whenever he isn’t writing, James can be found in his recording studio where he is presently writing and recording the first Dream Nation album.

He resides in Hertfordshire, England with his wife, two children, a dog and a horse.
