Natasha Lester books in order

Natasha Lester is an Australian New York Times, USA Today and internationally best-selling author of historical romance and historical fiction novels.

She is best known for books such as The Paris Seamstress (2018), The Paris Orphan (2019), and The Paris Secret (2020).

Passionate about books from the time she was a child, Natasha often wondered if she could make readers feel the same way she did whenever she got lost in a book.

Upon finishing high school, she went and acquired a degree in Marketing and Public Relations, given that there were no creative writing degrees that were being offered in universities at the time.

She then proceeded to work for companies like L’Oreal in Australia as the Marketing Manager for Maybelline, before quitting to chase her dreams of being a writer.

A degree in Creative Writing later, Natasha published her debut novel What Is Left Over, After (2010), which clinched the TAG Hungerford Award for Fiction.

Natasha continues to write from her home in Perth, Australia, where she lives with her husband and their three children.

Whenever she isn't writing, Natasha enjoys collecting vintage fashion, traveling and practicing the art of fashion illustration.

What Is Left Over, After

Presenting a powerful story of motherhood and loss, this novel explores the complexities of grief and disconnection—and what it takes to become connected again.

Gaelle, a 30-year-old beauty editor for a fashion magazine, she is ambivalent about motherhood, and she sleeps around—not because she does not love her heart-surgeon husband Jason, but because the very fact of love is a terrifying thing. She finds it easier to keep moving, in the heart and the mind, than to stay still and own who she is. A multi-layered story of marriage, this novel employs delicate yet powerful prose that builds to a moving revelation.
