Born in Austin, Texas, she holds degrees from the Harvard Business School and the University of Texas at Austin.

She has published contemporary romance series set on the beach such as Summer Beach, Coral Cottage, and Love California, and enthralling historical family sagas such as The Perfumer, Vintage Perfumes, The Winemakers, The Chocolatier, and Hepburn’s Necklace.
