Dan Watt books in order
Dan Watt is a Canadian author of young adult fantasy and science fiction novels.
Passionate about writing from a very early age, Dan is one of the lucky people to have joined the Cambridge Writer’s Collective many years ago; a place where he has gained a wealth of knowledge on the value of constructive criticism.
Although he holds a BA majoring in Anthropology and History from Wilfrid Laurier University, a qualification that never got him employed in either of the fields, it did however make him think about the infrastructure of the Earth and the possibility of making humans an interplanetary species.
A Level Two Ace Fitness Trainer, Dan also writes about fitness, health and interacting with people.
He has so far self-published two series, namely Children of the Myth Machine, and Future Wake, and two standalones, Lucy and the Snivel Chair (2017) and BARD: Owner Of The Gemstone (2021).

Detailed book overview
He doesn’t care that the pounding, moody music will ricochet through the walls to rattle every window in his Victorian house. He hums as he plays The Who’s Behind Blue Eyes on the baby grand in the attic so he can feel the house shake to his self-pity.
Once the melancholy mood passes he lifts his chin higher and pounds out the much livelier theme to the James Bond movie Thunderball. The music lifts his spirits and he glances past all his electronic games to a large object covered in canvas. His latest invention will marvel game players all around the World. It will allow him to finally retire and create more incredible games!
Bran is twelve when he saves a girl from two ghouls.
To thank him she places a silver necklace around his neck.
Attached to the necklace by a dragon claw bail, is a gemstone.
A gemstone that in a few years, will change his world, forever.
This is Bran’s story. From journeying to the Esfinge BARD campus his father once went to; to searching for the rightful owner of the gemstone.
In his search for the owner of the gemstone, Bran travels over the land and across the sea, to a territory ruled by an immortal emperor.
Along the way he meets rogues, a witch, a demon, a giant, and many other fascinating characters; both human and fey.
This is also very much a story about a young man learning to become a Bard.
Children of the Myth Machine
In the far future a machine is built that can produce clones of mythological creatures over and over again. The dwarves, elves, orcs, goblins and other creatures of myth were never meant to reproduce, or grow larger, but they did! Terren Foe is sent to the surface of the world, Terra Verte. to meet the Queen of Caelum and with her help capture the Children of the Myth Machine slaver, Thrain. Foe also has another task, one that must be done discreetly; one that could prove not all life originated on planet Earth.
Geneticist Larry Smide designed a machine that uses organic matter to create tiny creatures that resembled elves and many other creatures of myth. They were small originally and he thought expendable.
But to his disbelief they could procreate and with each new generation the children grew taller. Delve Industry wants his machines to create a limitless supply of slaves for work and entertainment.
On the planet Lilly, Sylvia and the other children of the forest are prepared for the next time Delve Industry sends a spaceship of slavers to steal their people away. The slavers stole Sylvia's sister Miya and she wants her back.
An impossible hope as the slavers took her sister to another planet. Or is it? When she meets the tall, preterhuman captive the slavers bring with them, the impossible seems more plausible.
The Cinn group, one of the most powerful business organisations in the galaxy, wants control of all the Children of the Myth Machines for their company Delve Mining. Only the draoi ársa stand in their way. The draoi ársa are intent on destroying all the machines the geneticist Larry Smide built and ending the merciless cloning for the purpose of slavery.Achebe a member of the draoi ársa is imprisoned on the dead world Sårad Värld. So far she has refused to tell the Cinn group where the genetic marvel the reliquia viviente is…
Future Wake, a government supported space company, is sending eight ships to colonize the eight habitable planets discovered by the Kepler spacecraft. The company knows time is running out as the super volcano, the Yellowstone Caldera, is about to erupt, devastating North America. Captain Jack Frontman is commanded to captain Whispers, the seventh of the Future Wake ships built secretly on the International Space Station.
His orders are to establish a colony made up of clones on a damp and vicious world called Brackish. His dislike of cloning is challenged when he finds out some of the children he is to protect are clones of people he knew. And there is the other matter...the one that means the most to him.
