Susan Wilkins is a British bestselling author of suspense, mystery and thriller novels.

She is best known for writing crime fiction series such as Detective Jo Boden, Detective Megan Thomas, and Kaz Phelps.

A graduate of law, Wilkins surprisingly never practiced, but rather fell in love with the world of television.

Throughout her staggering 25 years in television, Wilkins created the pioneering BBC detective drama South of the Border, and registered more 130 broadcast credits to her name–key among them being Casualty and Holby City, Heartbeat, Coronation Street and Eastenders.

Upon leaving her television career, she turned to novel writing, making her debut in 2014 with The Informant, the first of the Kaz Phelps books.

Wilkins currently lives in Devon, England where she gets to walk by the sea on a daily basis.
