She has also authored other books under the pseudonyms Maggie Mason and Molly Kent.

Born in an era where women were poorly equipped to have a career, Mary did some factory and office work after leaving school.

She also undertook several jobs like cleaning, catering, pub jobs and party planning–all of which allowed her to balance between earning a living and raising a family.

Though she also worked as a Community Service Officer and a Probation Service Officer, Mary still found time to pursue her dream of becoming an author.

She has so far published several sagas and historical fiction novels, and enjoys writing engrossing novels where she puts her readers in situations where her characters find themselves in.

Whenever she isn’t writing, Mary can be found reading, spending quality time with her family, eating out, gardening, and interacting with readers on social media.

Married for more than five decades, Mary has four children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
