More about Myron Bolitar

Myron Bolitar, the main character in the series, is a former basketball player turned sports agent.

Signs that Myron was a gifted basketball player were evident as early as the 6th grade, and he went on to be drafted by the Boston Celtics in the first round, until he shattered his knee during a preseason game against Washington Bullets—ending his career.

It is this setback that inspired Myron to return to college, studying Law at the prestigious Harvard before becoming a sports agent.

Two other characters mentioned prominently in the series are his best friend, Windsor Horne Lockwood III, fondly known as "Win", and Esperanza Diaz, his assistant at his agency MB SportsReps.

Win is a flirtatious and unconventional billionaire who owns the building where their offices are located while Esperanza is a determined assistant who makes partner later in the series after obtaining a Law degree from New York University.

Ten years ago, kidnappers, who had abducted two boys from well-to-do families, demanded ransom before suddenly going silent. For an entire decade, their families were left with nothing save for agonizing memories, with no trace of the boys ever surfacing.

Brighter days however seem to be on the horizon, as Myron Bolitar and his close friend, Win, are convinced they are on to something as they have located one of the boys-now a teenager.

Where could he have possibly been for the last ten years? Does he have any recollection of the day, more than half a life ago, that he was separated from his family?

What about his missing friend? Could his fate have already been sealed?
