From a San Diego jail to the shady Chicago nightlife, Sabre's search for the true killer forces her to face the question: What do you do when the ones you trust the most are the ones with the most to hide?
Sabre Orin Brown's clients keep disappearing. With seemingly no connection between the cases, Sabre enlists the help of her southern PI friend, JP, and her best friend, Bob, to find each of them--before it's too late. In her race against the clock, Sabre must uncover the contemporary horrors that are being buried in the shadow of dark traditions. A conspiracy years in the making, secrets hidden for decades, and the twisted work of a mysterious society have all come together in the ultimate test of the strength of Sabre's conviction.
Attorney Sabre Brown’s day is going well until she walks into her office and finds a dead man sprawled across her desk. When, Bob, her best friend and colleague is suspected of the murder, and Sabre’s minor client has information that might clear him, Sabre has a dilemma. How does she help her best friend without betraying the confidence of the child she is sworn to protect?
Attorney Sabre Brown is summoned into Judge Lawrence Mitchell chambers for an ex parte hearing. When the judge attempts to discuss one of her cases, she refuses to listen without proper counsel present.
Later that evening, Judge Mitchell is murdered.
Sabre’s shock at his death is only surpassed by an attempt on the life of Dr. Carolina Heller, a psychologist she employs on a regular basis. Sabre now fears for her own life.
Sabre enlists her private eye JP, and they begin to comb and scrutinize her cases, searching for connections between the two crimes. But Sabre’s life is in danger from someone much closer to her.
Sabre and JP’s roads diverge. While JP infiltrates a twisted world of greed and corruption, Sabre is caught up in a domestic crisis fueled by obsession. As each is forced to fight their own battles, the question soon becomes, can they find a way to save one another?
When Attorney Sabre Brown’s phone rings at 2 a.m. she’s shocked to hear from her brother, Ron, who has been in Witness Protection for the past seven years. Someone has discovered his whereabouts and is trying to kill him—and possibly Sabre as well.
Sabre and her private investigator, JP, leave sunny San Diego to find her brother who has gone underground. Based on a single clue, they begin their search in the cold, wintry Pacific Northwest. They soon discover that the six felons whom Ron testified against have been released from prison. One by one, they are being murdered.
Sabre and JP race to find Ron and stop the next bullet. As the clues unfold, they’re unsure if someone is trying to kill Ron or protect him. Or is Ron the killer? Could Sabre's beloved brother have changed during his long absence and is he now seeking vengeance? Sabre risks her relationships, her career, and her life to seek the undeniable truth. Is Sabre’s love for her brother overriding her sound judgment and if so, is there a final bullet with Sabre’s name on it?
Attorney Sabre Brown is having a great time geocaching, the Internet’s version of a treasure hunt. The fun ceases when she “caches” a container with an official death certificate citing “Murder by Poison” as the cause of death.
Even more disturbing is that the date of death is ten days in the future. Sabre is forced to search cache after cache, each revealing more clues, until they take an unexpected twist and shockingly point to one of her court cases.
Is the murderer a rejected child, a well-known plastic surgeon, a scorned ex, a crooked lab technician, or a politician in line for the highest office in the land? Or is someone playing Sabre in an ugly geocache of life and death?
Attorney Sabre O. Brown is called upon to defend an abused fourteen-year-old boy of murder after a body is discovered in a shallow grave with the word GOOF scrawled across his forehead. Years later when more bodies are unearthed baring the same GOOF signature, two more abused juveniles are accused of the gruesome slayings.
In order to convince a jury of her client's innocence, Sabre must either find a copycat killer; prove the murderer was a trusted friend of the three boys; or realize her worst fear—that her teenage clients carried out their own brand of vigilante justice to the men who abused them.
Attorney Sabre O. Brown takes on three disconcerting new cases, each with its own illusion: a woman claiming she's been impregnated by a ghost, a threatening parent prone to violence, and a child bride with a heart-breaking First Amendment issue. At the same time, Sabre tries to protect her mother who is dating a suspicious widower she met on online. In Sabre’s search for justice, she is found near death after a magician’s illusion deviously goes wrong.
Attorney Sabre Brown is charged with saving Conner, a fifteen-year-old who’s accused of murdering his grandma's abusive boyfriend. All eyewitness accounts and forensic evidence point directly to the boy. To make matters worse, this time it's personal. Conner is the nephew of JP Torn, Sabre's boyfriend.
Undaunted, Sabre and JP investigate, turning up sordid details and a long list of suspects. Soon, tempers flare, confidences are broken, and secrets of the past surface as they try to untangle the web of lies created by JP's family.
Attorney Sabre O. Brown receives a text with an image of a dead man, a social worker she recently opposed in juvenile court. Did he fall, or was he pushed? As she and JP, her private investigator, search court cases for the suspected killer, the texts become more frightening and personal.
Soon packages with dire warnings threaten Sabre and her loved ones. Their frantic search uncovers disturbing revelations, putting Sabre in the crosshairs of a clock-ticking threat. With her life on the line, will she discover the stalker in time—or become a victim of the Advocate's Killer?
When Attorney Sabre Brown’s eccentric Aunt Goldie dies, leaving a series of cryptic notes, Sabre launches the most intriguing and frustrating investigation of her life. While sorting through the piles of junk her hoarder aunt left behind, Sabre must keep Goldie’s greedy, dysfunctional children at bay. But she also discovers unexpected treasures, family secrets, and her aunt’s suspicions that someone was trying to kill her.
But soon Sabre is torn in another direction when she takes a case involving four children whose brother was murdered in their home, and no evidence of who killed him.
When her PI boyfriend and good-natured brother step in to help, they also get caught up in the labyrinth of clutter, deceit, and attempted murder. Sabre must hold everything together long enough to bring a killer to justice, protect the child’s siblings, and carry out her aunt’s bizarre last wishes.
Attorney Sabre Brown runs from a horrific assault and loses her memory of it with every step. When a dead man turns up in the same area, Sabre blames herself. Did she witness the murder? Or worse--did she kill him?
Before Sabre and her private investigator, JP, can solve that mystery, a minor client, Angela, disappears near the murder scene. Sabre must find her. But as Sabre’s memory slowly returns, she realizes the killer may be coming for her next. Can she and JP find Angela in time to save them both?
Attorney Sabre Brown has dealt with her share of predators over the years as a child advocate, but the defendant in her latest case is the worst—targeting vulnerable women and their young daughters for decades. When the predator is abruptly murdered, Sabre’s investigator reluctantly takes the case, but with so many victims, who are now suspects, JP struggles to make progress.
Meanwhile, Sabre’s brother gets tangled in a paternity/custody case, and she has to defend him in court—her worst nightmare. The stunning truth for both cases is buried in the past. Can they dig it up and nail the killer before innocent men are framed for crimes they didn’t commit?

As Squirrely lies in a coma, Tuper’s techie sidekick, Lana, uncovers fifty-year-old secrets about his connection to the death of a high school classmate. The cold case pops to the front burner when a second classmate dies in the same manner.
A Senator, his barren wife, and a long-ago illegal adoption heat up the complications. As Tuper and Lana dig deeper, lies, fraud, and blackmail bubble to the surface.
