Vaseem Khan is a British award-winning author of mystery and crime fiction novels set in India.

He made his debut as an author in 2015 with The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra, the first installment of the Baby Ganesh Agency Investigation Series.

The novel was not only picked by the Sunday Times as among the 40 best crime novels published 2015 and 2020 but has since been translated into 17 languages.

The Perplexing Theft of the Jewel in the Crown (2016), the second book in the series, received critical acclaim, clinching the Shamus Award in the US.

A co-host of the beloved crime fiction podcast, The Red Hot Chilli Writers, and a recipient of the Eastern Eye Arts, Culture and Theatre Award for Literature, Vaseem can be found working at the Department of Security and Crime Science at University College London whenever he isn't writing.
