Emily Larkin, born in New Zealand, is a USA Today bestselling author of historical romance novels.

She also writes fantasy novels under the pen name Emily Gee, and previously wrote historical romance as Emily May.

Raised on a steady diet of books, as her mother was a librarian while her father was a renowned New Zealand author, Emily’s passion for reading and writing was ingrained in her from the time she was a child.

Her love of reading followed her in her adult life, as she studied many different subjects, including geology, geophysics, canine behavior and ancient Greek.

Emily, who most recently worked at Fiordland National Park, which is among the most remote national parks in New Zealand, has over the years worked as a field assistant in Antarctica, and a waitress on the Isle of Skye. She has and also worked in the New Zealand wine industry for five vintages.

She loves climbing hills, yoga, and traveling, and has been to Europe, North America, the Middle East, China, and North Africa.
