Lisa Morton is an American screenwriter, horror author, Halloween expert, and Bram Stoker Award®-winning prose writer.
She has so far published four novels (The Castle of Los Angeles, Malediction, Netherworld, and Zombie Apocalypse! Washington Deceased), 150 short stories, and three books on the history of Halloween.
Originally from Southern California, Lisa’s professional writing career began in 1988 with the horror-fantasy feature film Meet the Hollowheads, otherwise known as Life On the Edge, where she was also its Associate Producer.
She has decades of experience in her field, and has appeared on several podcasts and radio shows, such as Coast to Coast, Midnight in the Desert, Bloody Disgusting’s The Boo Crew, and The Midnight Society.
Lisa also gives weekly “Ghost Reports” for the beloved podcast Ghost Magnet With Bridget Marquardt.
A former President of the Horror Writers Association, Lisa is also an Active member of Mystery Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, and Sisters in Crime.
She lives in North Hills, California.
